Manchester United Reach Deal For Robin Van Persie

After telling his manager Arsene Wenger that he had no desire to play for Arsenal anymore with one year left on his contract he had been pursued by three teams, Juventus, Manchester United, and Manchester City. With the English Premiere League season kicking off this weekend a deal had to be done, the winner of that deal is now Manchester United. The club has completed a transfer for a fee of 22.5 million pounds (34.5 million US dollars). The Dutch international Van Persie will now be teaming up with Wayne Rooney as the two main attackers for United. This deal is sure to leave Arsenal fans fuming as this marks another major talent not only leaving the club, but going to one of their most hated rivals. If you aren't familiar with soccer (football) imagine a player leaving the Yankees to go play for the Red Sox, or a Laker going to the Celtics, and multiply that by 20 times.
